Challenge C

„Healthy teenager“

Proposed by

With smartphones and internet games, teenagers are all the time connected to the virtual world without any break. This has an impact on their social behavior and further development. It is also proven that they don’t have healthy habits with regard to food, sleep and sport. The performances at school can also decrease due to the lack of sleep and concentration.

The use of smartphones and internet games is a big issue for the new generation. A lot of teenagers are addicted. It is a public health problem.

Actual Challenge

How to make the teenager aware about the fact that he can be addicted to internet/ smartphone, in a “teenager friendly way”? The aim of this challenge is not to provide the teenager with information written by adults, but to develop a solution which will have better effect for his health. For instance the pokemon game forces the teenagers to go outside, to walk, to have social contacts.
