„Senior-Friendly Neighborhood Label“
Proposed by

Background
For people in difficulty, like senior or disabled person
Brussels is not a senior-friendly city, idem for families or vulnerable persons. There’s a big lack of communication between the citizens and the city
Smart cities projects are not taking into account the health situation and mobility problems
Problem
These people do not know the proximity services and cannot notify a problem related to the urban situation (defect of a service)
Cf social heroes in Berlin, where cafés, bars, publics, services are accessible for seniors or disabled (with promotion, reward). Using maps
Test balloon in 1 quarter of Brussels
Actual Challenge
Creation of a solution to notify the mobility and accessibility problems and proximity services like shops, activities for senior, café’s, doctors, veterinaries, pharmacies…

Some icebreaker-questions:
Can you make it fun, easy and participative (city to citizens, citizens to city)?
What would be the best way to transfer the information the city?
How can the citizen be sure to receive an answer from the authorities?
